Bon Bini means: BE WELCOME! This comes from 'Papiamento' , the dialect which is spoken on Bonaire. After Curacao, this is the largest of the 5 Netherland Antilles. The Papiamento originated in the course of the 17th century among the slaves and their masters so they could understand each other. It is a mixture of Portuguese and Spanish, with many words from English and Dutch.
